La la Lacroix!

I swear, anything this man makes in white is perfect!

RTW Spring 2009

RTW Fall 2008

I know this jacket is a bit odd, but I love LOVE love the texture on it for some reason. The model looks amazing in it. She looks like an edgy Barbie.

I love that he uses black and white for a few outfits every season. A lot of designers make it look "eh" or simply ordinary, but Lacroix always adds some sort of edge.

Whoa.

It's crazy how I just abandoned this blog. :-\ It's been a while since I last posted something on here, and for some odd reason, I randomly thought about this blog. This whole year has been really busy, and I'm in college now majoring in fashion design and considering on minoring in merchandising. :-) I haven't been keeping up with fashion at all. It's so sad. I haven't even looked at any of the Spring 09 collections except for Marc by Marc. I know, I'm horrible. Anyway, as I was contemplating on the good old times when I was informed, I realized it was because I was writing and reading about fashion. After all, in order to blog, you must inform yourself first. So with that being said, I'm back! I'm in fashion school now, and I need to be fashion nerd once again!

Stilettos minus the pain!

Nike has created a "pack" of sneakers inspired by a few of Christian Louboutin's stilettos. Of course, the luxurious red sole is still in place. They wouldn't be CL's if it weren't for the red soles, right? :) Shown here is the Dunk High which is the black one with the heel on the side, and the Vandal High, which is the animal print one. There's actually another sneaker in the pack, but I didn't include it in this entry because I wasn't very fond of the design. I love sneakers, especially Nike dunks, so I'm definitely gonna get a pair of these! The Dunk High to be exact! :)

Guess who's back?

I'm back from my unannounced hiatus! I know, I know, it's been a while, but I wanted to get as many responses as I could on my blog about the MTV casting call. Anyway, after posting this, I'll be working on getting back to all of you. :)

Earlier, I was looking at Vogue's Top 10 Best Dressed list from last week & noticed number 7, the beautiful Joy Bryant wearing an amazing red Zac posen dress with Cartier earrings.

Zac Posen is one of my favorite designers, no doubt, and although she didn't quite make it to the top of the list, she still looks great? Don'tcha think? :)
Btw, did anyone notice my new banner & catch phrase? I thought about the catch phrase all by myself! :D

If you didn't know, I'm an aspiring designer. I sew a lot. I'm horrible at sketching but my excellent sewing skills make up for it :) I'd like to show you all some of my designs for small fashion shows in my community that I did last year.

I don't really like some of the designs, but it's all I've got so far, especially on the second picture. I plan to enter, but I want to know whether or not I should submit these or make new ones. So please, critique & suggestions would be appreciated. Tell me what you'd like to see, what to change, etc. Thank you!

Does Pamela Dennis sound familiar to you?

Probably not, but her designs are! Almost every girl's guilty pleasure is watching Gossip Girl on late Wednesday nights. Personally, I don't watch it just for the drama. I also watch it for the fabulous clothes they wear! Pamela Dennis designs some of the girls' dresses on the show.

As we all know, that's Serena in Hi Society. Doesn't she look great?! The bottom detail is amazing! This dress isn't even near affordable, but it's nice to dream, right? According to Gossip Girl Fashion, Blair's mother, Eleanor has a clothing line & it is originally designed by Pamela Dennis. I paid a visit to her site & loved her pieces. :)

I think I'm in love!

After shopping, my grandma & I went to the Cosmetics Company to buy my mom a birthday present. Of course, I wanted her buy me something too. :)
It's a "Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask" from Clinique. This might seem weird, but I've never tried masks before, so hopefully this will be a good first. The first sentence of the description says that it's a "Clay-based treatment for oily, pore-clogged, skin-under-stress." I read some reviews on it & people who've tried it don't recommend it but everyone has different skin. I'm definitely going to try it tonight!

Anyway, that's not what I'm "in love" with. While I was in the same store, my grandma was taking so long so I decided to take a look at perfumes & found this little baaaby! :)

Island by Michael Kors. I can't really describe the smell, it smells a bit flowery, but not too much to the point that bees would be swarming you. Basically, it smells like the name. I know, the way I describe it is weird, but it's really hard to describe the smell of perfume. I'm a big Michael Kors fan, but I'm not a big fan of perfumes. The only perfume I've really used is the first & oldest, Pleasures by Estee Lauder. It's about time I found a new fragrance, because even my grandma uses Pleasures!
